Peter Downs & Associates was established in 1998 to help small businesses boost sales growth and profitability by developing innovative marketing and communications strategies.

Founder, Peter Downs, is also an experienced copywriter, turning his marketing strategies and tactics into action by creating communications and marketing collaterals for solo-preneurs, through to government and national organisations.

Peter has spent the past five years creating a series of Business Development Manuals, which are designed to help small businesses grow in the contemporary marketplace. The need to be marketing savvy has never been greater, and yet many small businesses simply don't know where to start. The result - unsustainably low margins, declining sales, and often the eventual demise of the business.

Peter's marketing experience, combined with years of researching the strategies and processes used by successful small businesses that have grown from fledgling enterprises into household names, has resulted in a series of publications that offer a unique insight into growing a small business in the 21st century. Peter's History
Peter has spent three decades in the marketing communications industry, working in a diverse range of roles including technical, management, marketing consultant, copywriter and business owner, each adding to the rich understanding he has of what it takes to make marketing work in the 'real world' of business.

Peter is passionate about playing a role in the success of small businesses, and is committed to helping his clients become business success stories within their respective markets.
